A home in Denver’s Polo Club neighborhood sold for $8 million recently, setting a new record price for a city of Denver home sale, according to the real estate agents.

The "monumental sale of gorgeous $8 million residence in the Polo Club establishes the highest price for a home in Denver," said Karen Brinckerhoff, with Kentwood’s DTC office, and Jim Rhye, with Kentwood’s City Properties office, in a statement.

"The stunning residence at 2525 East Exposition Ave. features spectacular grounds and an interior designed with a strong connection to the outdoors, creating a truly unique experience that far transcends mainstream custom homes," the pair added.

The four-bedroom, four-and-a-half bath home is 10,897 square feet and sold on April 9.

“The only Denver residence that has sold at a higher price was the historic Phipps Mansion, which at the time of the sale was owned by the University of Denver and used as an events center," Rhye said in the statement.

Earlier this month, the Denver Business Journal reported that the average and median single-family home prices in the metro both set record highs in March.
